By using the incredibly reliable postal service to deliver 20-50 thousand pamphlets per week. By the end of the year a million anti slavery pamphlets had been delivered.
This book takes what we know about history and turns it upside down. It clarifies it. It brings into focus the things left out. History needs to be re-examined and researched with a new lens. There are many perspectives on this time period and this issue. There is a real problem in only listening to this story from the perspective of the Southern states that were invested in keeping the status quo.
